The SKIF-HPD high-pressure piston pump is designed to create a continuous flow of liquid without pressure pulsations. It can be used to transfer downhole samples of reservoir fluids and to generate excess pressure within the working cells of PVT (Pressure-Volume-Temperature) systems. It is utilized in a range of experimental studies to determine the thermodynamic properties of reservoir fluids. Piston pumps allow direct handling of fluids and offer the ability for quick and complete cleaning and changing of the working fluid due to their design characteristics.
