The SKIF-SLIM TUBE system simulates dynamic fluid mixing in reservoir conditions by continuously injecting fluids into a long tube filled with a porous medium (compacted quartz sand or glass microspheres). Oil displacement is observed, with constant pressure maintained by a backpressure regulator. A viewing window and digital video recording system enable visual monitoring of the effluent flow.
